2016 Opel Zafira Review

The latest 2016 Vauxhall /Opel Zafira concept is developed
beside the corporate Meriva model. General Motors In
cooperation with PSA group have decided to Zafira 2016
from the family minivan become SUV-styled MPV. On the
American market should appear as a 2016 Buick Envision.

It still isn’t quite certain which company will get the
opportunity to build the vehicle, but according to rumors,
production will begin in 2016 at PSA’s Sochaux plant in France.
Though it may also be built in Rüsselsheim-Germany, as

Opel plans to reduce the size of the new Zafira – currently one
of the largest vehicles in the segment – from 15.28 ft down to
14.92 ft, and also to reshape the vehicle to look more like a
crossover rather than an MPV. French buyers now seem to prefer
compact SUVs and crossovers. The vehicle is expected to ride on
the French-developed EMP2 platform.

New Zafira Exterior

This time, the Zafira is about to get brand new design which
includes the new front side, larger grille altered lines of the
system, reshaped contour of lighter-groups, larger breeze
vents, a wide range of roof contours and much, much more. It
seems like 2016 Opel Zafira will be reminiscent of new Astra
K and Peugeot 308.

2016 Opel Zafira Interior

It has been announced that there will be one huge change in the
cabin – there will be three separate seats in the second row.

In order to find out some more information about the basic and
additional equipment we will have to wait for the company to
listings. But from what is known, we should expect the same
level of equipment as other new models of the
company. Compound spaciousness quality materials and
finishes that can be seen and felt, is characterized by the
interior design of the new Opel Zafira Tourer. Soft, pleasant
material, with a carefully selected combination of colors
atmosphere, leaving an immediate and lasting impression.

Engine and Specs

The larger the vehicle, the more powerful the engine. It is
also desirable to find both petrol and diesel options.
Therefore, 2016 Opel Zafira will certainly comprise of two
petrol and two diesel run products. Basic version needs to be
powered by a 1.6-liter Inline-4 engine which delivers 197 hp
and 207 lb-ft of torque. Another petrol-engine alternative is
1.8-liter Inline-4 engine producing 140 hp and 130 lb-ft of
torque. As for the diesel solutions, a 1.6-liter engine will be
offered, putting out up to 120 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. And,
for those looking for an additional effective diesel engine,
there will be a 2.0-liter CDTi delivering 190 hp and 260 lb-ft
of torque.

All engines will most probably be mated to a 6-speed manual
transmission with reduced friction and the replacement for
electrical system during braking. Automatic transmission will
be offered as optional.

Stop-Start technology should reduce fuel consumption to about
4,5 l/100 km. The CO2 emission should be about 119 g/km.
