2016 Peugeot 3008 Review

New Peugeot 3008 2016 will be manufactured in France and China,
last year’s success in the Chinese market has encouraged the
designers and engineers from Peugeot to adapt new
model especially to Chinese customers. Of course that
this compact crossover will be able to purchase in all markets
around the world.

2016 Peugeot 3008 Exterior

2016 Peugeot 3008 concept should be more modern-looking and
readjusted to this type of market. The base, which is borrowed
from Peugeot 5008, will be accompanied by EMP2 platform. The
front part is reminiscent of other models of the company and
that will be the basis of recognition on the road. LED lights
in front give this model a modern and powerful look.

Lots of other changes have been made to 3008 model, however,
these changes are not yet revealed.


2016 Peugeot 3008 Interior

The new Peugeot 3008 will come with 4 doors and just
enough space for 5 passengers. The interior designers of 2016
Peugeot 3008 made a great choice regarding the cabin materials,
among which recycled plastic unit deserves the most attention.
The recycled plastic will be combined with some fine materials.


The transparent center console will have an improved
touchscreen with navigation and infotainment system. It will
come with more standard and optional equipment. Standard
equipment will feature Bluetooth on all models.




Engine and specs

Two versions of the engines are being prepared – diesel and
petrol. The demand for SUV is rising, so it’s no surprise that
the most work is being done on them.

As for the petrol engine, it will be the 1.6-liter Inline-4 one
with an output of 118 horsepower and 154 horsepower. Then comes
diesel 2-liter Inline-4 engine delivering 148 horsepower and
161 horsepower. Both engines will be mated to an automatic

in 13.6 seconds and achieve a top speed of 111 mph. Fuel
consumption will be 48 mpg (4.9 liters/100 km).

New Peugeot 3008 Hybrid

There’s been some talk of 2016 Peugeot 3008 hybrid, which will
be a combination of 1.6-liter petrol engine and two electric
motors. This electric motor will drive rear and front wheels.
The front electric motor recharges the battery during braking.
The rear electric motor has the ability to recharge the
battery, while giving the car all-wheel drive. The total output
is expected to be up to 500 horsepower. Electric range should
be about 50 km (30 miles).


Price and release date

The Peugeot company plans on releasing the 3008 on the market
late this year, although at this point the date may be
postponed until next year.

It’s still too early to talk about 2016 Peugeot 3008’s price,
due to the increasingly variable exchange rate of the euro and
the US dollar, it should be around 25,000 euros (28,000
dollars). It remains to be seen how exchange differences will
affect the final price.
