Who ya gonna call?….Probably Paul Simon…
Australian natives Cut Copy deliver synthpop gold in today’s pick from their sophomore album released in 2009. The over-compressed syncopation alongside the breathy vocals of Dan Whitford blend together seamlessly to create an ethereal sound. Though sounding somewhat like a blend of the vocals from Phoenix & the music of Neon Indian, this indietronica quartet is well-worth a discography binge. “Strangers in the Wind” is best listened to with a new tablet computer and a tour through buildings with futuristic architecture.
